Our privacy policy applies to all companies within the Orange Auto Insurance, Inc (“Orange”) family of companies. Orange includes the following:

Orange protects customer info. We maintain physical, electronic and organizational safeguards to protect this info. We regularly review our policies and practices. We monitor our computer networks and test the strength of our security to ensure the safety of this info.

We collect and use info necessary to administer our business. We also use it to advise you about our products and services. We may collect and maintain several types of customer info for these purposes.

Types of info we may collect and how we gather it:

• From you - Info on applications or on other forms for our insurance products. This includes info provided by telephone, computer, or from your insurance agent.
• From your transactions with us – Info from your payment history as well as underwriting and claim documents
• From non-Orange companies – Info from your:
  • prior insurance history,
  • driving record,
  • claim history,
  • vehicle history, and
  • credit reports.
• Website info – Info specific to transactions with Orange including:
  • the website that linked you with Orange,
  • your computer operating system, and
  • the pages you viewed on our website.

In some instances, technical data such as your IP address, session ID, and operating system may also be stored.

We use customer info to:

• underwrite your policy,
• process claims,
• ensure proper billing
• service your accounts, and
• offer you other Orange insurance or financial products that we believe may suit your needs

We share info about your policy history and claims within Orange and your agent to better serve you. We may also disclose info about you to persons or organizations inside or outside our family of companies as permitted or required by law.

We share customer info as necessary to handle any claims. We also share info to protect you against fraud and avoid unauthorized transactions. For example, we might share customer info such as name, address, and coverage with an auto body shop to speed up repairs on your auto

We do not share your personal info with other companies for marketing purposes without your consent.

There are two types of info sharing:

• Info sharing within Orange, and
• Info sharing outside Orange.

We do not provide customer info to persons or organizations outside Orange for their own marketing purposes.

The choice in the Special Notice, which follows, applies only to info shared within Orange and your agent. For example, our ability to share info among other Orange companies means we do not have to ask about your driving record if you apply for an additional insured vehicle.

This notice applies only to the sharing of info within Orange. It does not include your specific account history.

What Info We Share: Unless you tell us not to, we may share info within Orange that was obtained from your application, such as your:

• occupation, or
• driving record, or
• insurance policy, or
• claims history.

We may also verify info provided by you such as the operators of your vehicles and members of your household.

Why We Share: We may share info about you within Orange to:

• enhance our service to you,
• underwrite your policies,
• measure your interest in our products and services,
• improve existing products,
• develop new products, and
• monitor customer trends and customer service.

Who We Share With: We may share info within the Orange family of companies and with your agent or a successor agent.

If you prefer that we not share this info within Orange, call us toll free at 877-785-5441. Your direction not to share this info does not limit Orange from sharing info that is essential to conducting our business. Examples of this are processing any claims you may have or info permitted or required by law. Your choice does limit our effort to market new products and services to you.
